Radio Career

John's first appearance on the radio followed the publication of his book, 'Roman Lincoln'. He was asked by the BBC to co-present a documentary based on the guide. His later radio work included stints on Ipswich Radio, Radio Castle, Felixstowe Radio, and Smart Radio - four Suffolk based stations. He was also appointed manager of Radio Castle, revamping the station's image and raising its profile in the local community. He has appeared as a guest on numerous BBC, commercial, and community stations.

Presenter. Joined the Great Yarmouth based station in September 2017. 20th Century Boy Show. Golden Oldies from the 60s, 70s, and beyond. He left the station in December 2019.

Weekly appearances on the Lesley Dolphin Show. Chatting about Suffolk hauntings. October 2019.

The Show with No Name. Friday at 1 p.m. Golden Oldies from the 60s, 70s, and 80s and beyond. Occasional two hour Sunday show at 2 pm - The Top Ten or Maybe Not Show. More golden oldies. The first show was broadcast November 16, 2016. Left the station in September 2017.

• The Wednesday Breakfast Show from October 13, 2010 to March 30, 2011. Occasional co-presenter was Gary Hooker.  Three-hour show. Music and interviews. 23 shows.
•  The Friday Breakfast Show from September 17,  2010 to July 1, 2011.  Terry Mackley was the co-host. Three-hour show. Music and interviews. 41 shows.
• The Eternal Spirit Radio Show. Hosted one show - November 17, 2010. John interviewed Steve Chitty, psychic medium. John appeared as an Eternal Spirit guest on several occasions. 
• The Thursday Breakfast Show. Co-hosted one show with Graham Cleaver -  September 2, 2010.  Three-hour show. Music and guests.
• The Vinyl Club. The presenter from April 22, 2011 to September 2, 2011. Ozzie Sibley and Gary Pryke were the co-presenters. Presented three solo editions of the show -  May 20, 2011, June 3, 2011 & September 2, 2011. Two-hour show. 21 shows.
• Presented or co-presented 87 shows in total.
• Left ICR on September 2, 2011 after exactly one year at the station.
