The Tree of Death

Green Park in London is the setting for a tree that is alleged to be saturated with evil. It's known as the Tree of Death due to the large number of tragic events that have unfolded beneath it.

In the 18th, Century duels were fought here and it's said that the sound of musket fire and laboured breathing can still be heard beneath the tree at dawn. The area around the tree has also been the scene of murders, rapes, robberies and suicides.

In 1820, a young man shot himself by the tree after his wife and children were killed in a fire. Since then, a figure in black has been seen standing near the trunk. It vanishes if you approach it. Sinister sounds have also been heard and these include groans, mocking laughter and whispering
